2005er Carl Ehrhard – Blue Label Rüdesheimer Riesling Kabinett dry
Vintner: Carl Ehrhard
Grape variety: 100% Riesling
Harvested: 14.10.2005
Must weight: 90 + 96 ° Oechsle
Alcohol: 12.5% Vol.
Acidity: 7.7 g/l
Residual sugar: 5.5 g/l
Vinification: Selectively hand-picked healthy grapes from the vineyard sites of Bischofsberg and Berg Roseneck. Slow fermentation at approx. 18°C. Fermentation duration: 4 weeks. Fermentation ends at 5.5 g residual sugar. Only one gentle filtration prior to bottling, and early bottling to preserve the natural fruity aromas.
Tasting notes: Fruity, with a fine, velvety, mellow texture. The maturity of the grape is discernible with every sip. Due to the elegant, fruity acid, which once again this year does not incline to “sourness” and shows a high minerality, this wine forms the ideal accompaniment to modern, light cuisine.
A Rheingau Riesling of exquisite maturity and elegance!
